Putting Two videos together in Final Cut with SYNC-ed Audio
« on: December 01, 2012, 01:37:28 pm »

Following up on the other question I just asked ( http://www.luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?topic=72878.0 ) I am having trouble figuring out how to get parts of videos to go together in Final Cut Pro X with sync-ed audio. Because it never lets me just take a clip and then place it where I want because it has that snapback feature or whatever. I was somehow able to do it for one of my videos ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2hcOt_YLno ) and I have absolutely no clue how I did it. I have been trying to figure it out for a few other videos I have had in the works for a while.....and can't. Help would be greatly appreciated for two situations:

1) Using Final Cut Pro X's feature of sync-ing audio and then doing the editing together
2) Using Time-coded video to sync audio and then do the editing together

The key to Multicam in FCPX is to make sure you record audio on all cameras - FCPX will can use it to sync:

This feature decided me, personally, to choose FCPX over Adobe Premiere, despite my preference toward Windows
