Red-fronted Macaw (Bolivia)
« on: November 30, 2012, 05:25:46 pm »

Hi everyone,

I just got back from a month in Bolivia. What a great trip! With over 1500 species of birds Bolivia has a lot to chase after. I'll have quite a few to post over the upcoming few weeks but I thought I would start with this beautiful Red-fronted Macaw which is endemic to Bolivia.

This shot was taken from atop a cliff. The BG is a river far below.

All the best!

Glenn

This looks more like an avian painting from an Audobon book than a photograph. Magnifico!
