Sharp (but not like primes, obviously), accurate auto-focus (better than my 24-105 in low light, surprisingly). Used for two trips to China where 1 lens was all I could take and it worked great for that. Very rugged design. Never a problem with lens creep (push pull operation). Some wear on tripod mount from being held by me for 14 hours per day,
