Finding out the shutter count of Pentax 645D
« on: November 18, 2012, 03:29:55 pm »

I found this website http://www.camerashuttercount.com and it seems to give me a number but I'm skeptical about how accurate this data is. Does anyone actually know where in the exif data this value is stored ? Having done a search on the exif in my image I could not find the same values this website returned. Is there a button I can hold on the 645D white turning on the camera that would display the number of images taken with the camera or some menu item I'm missing ?

You need an app that can dump all the EXIF data. exiftool is the simplest cross platform app that I know of.
