There it is again: the story with the unanswered question. Good street, Seamus. A nitpick: not thrilled by the little patch of grass on the far right. Clone?

Definitely, Russ. Should have seen it myself. Thanks

I have to say that after seeing the grass cloned out I actually feel that it added something to the original.  It helped define and confine the space in which the scenario is playing out.

I agree. It also looks as if it is reacting to the stick (or whatever) that the guy on the right is pointing at it, which adds another bit of tasty ambiguity to the image.

I'd agree if more of the grass plot were in the picture.

When I went back to the shot again, I found there was another case. Here are two versions, one with the grass as is and the second with the grass cloned out roughly and quickly - just to see. What do ye think:

Seamus,

For what it is worth, my view is that it lives at about your initial crop.  The extra portmanteau and the increased emphasis on the structure behind render the entire frame less poignant.  I see no real point in the removal of the grass other than the fact that you can.

You were there.  You know what your instinct says.  Go with what suits you best and disregard all else - including me.

After looking at both versions for a while, Walter, I'd have to conclude that the corrected version is the better one. Seems to me defining and confining the space in which the scenario is about to play out reduces the ambiguity. But I realize that opinions may vary.
