Post processing question
« on: November 17, 2012, 01:38:30 pm »

Playing with Silver Efex I'm trying to get something nice out of an older shot that I posted here some time ago.
I'm not sure I'm going anywhere though. Any suggestions? I attached 2 versions processed through Silver Efex and the 2 initial versions which went through LR only.

I'm not sure if it's browser related but the differences are fairly subtle when I look in Firefox although even in Windows Picture viewer you can see them ?!
Probably it's better to download and see them in a photo viewer of your choice.

My problem with the shot is that I am not sure what I am looking at - is it up a river with a gentle rapid in the middle, or across a river with a rock-strewn muddy bank in the middle. So for me that rather overwhelms the subtle differences. Having said that, I like the last one best.
