I've had great experience with Sandisk flash memory products for over 15 years. In 1994 I paid $1000 for a 40MB full size PCMCIA card. The pain of being an early adopter.
The description of the Kingston say that it comes "with a bonus download for data recovery software from MediaRECOVER so you can recover lost or deleted files and restore corrupt files on Windows or Mac systems." I am not familiar with the MediaRECOVER software, but when you need recovery software it's great to already have it on hand.
My best advice for buying any computer memory products is to
never buy memory before you need it. See above
Overall prices prices for memory are always going down.
What was a good price six months ago is too high a price today or six months from now. There are exceptions such as the price of hard drives after the flooding in Thailand last year.
If you are not in a rush there will continue to be good sale prices between now and Christmas.
