First and last ones are clever with strong composition, of course only IMO.

Good composition in all of them. Are some a little dark or is that just me? For example the elderly lady with the row of hoop things. Obviously you don't want the hoops to grab attention but they do seem murky.

the LIVE photograph is great, especially the vague highlights on the billboard that look like puffs of steam.

MM and 35 Lux FLE wide open. Shot 30 min ago.
I always here how bad the bokeh is from this lens and though it is not a 200 2L I haven't seen it. I think it's really good for a 35mm lens. Much better than most I have used.

Love the first ad third although perhaps the third could be grittier. The second one surely needs more light in the figure to see how he's dressed. But maybe that's my monitor.

Thanks Doc   :)
I wanted to also say to me, what is important in that image, is his body shape and the shadow and the strong line leading to them.

Those lines do work that way but then I get frustrated that I can't see just what's going on - but as I say it might be monitor can't show the detail. Is he wearing shorts?

I never said the image was working LoL

but to me the photo isn't about his clothes but his shape and the repeating shape of his shadow but having said that there is slight detail in his shirt and his shorts. Maybe your monitor is a bit dark?

The vertical shots are all too tall; makes enjoyment very hard to find!

My monitor's a LaCie 319, so not exactly a miniature. Or if it is, it's a jewel!

But aren't you describing the better street shots, well composed photographs that happen to have people in them? After that hurdle is crossed then you get to the human interest.

My monitor is calibrated so it shouldn't be too dark but I'm not saying that isn't the problem though.
