Curves in Luminosity blend mode in Photoshop, or in Lab mode, violate the R:G:B intensity ratios per pixel as well, and typically in a less favorable way compared to a RGB curve with hue-lock. We could say that these color models do not hold what they promise.  See S. Tindeman’s  "exposure curves".

Yeah, so...the RBG mode Hue locked looks best to me. Seems Thomas isn't so wrong huh?
