I've recently upgraded my i1pro to i1publish pro 2. I'm using it to make RGB profiles for my Canon iPF printers, and CMYK profiles for toner-based printers. I'm also using it to create CMYK profiles from Fogra characterization data sets for offset print, and proof validation.
i1profiler makes nice profiles and is convenient in use. I also like new i1Pro2 for the fact, that it's more reliable, consistent, and has M0, M1 and M2 measurement modes. It also gives better results in display calibration than its predecessor.
Be aware that i1profiler doesn't make scanner nor camera ICC profiles anymore, you can only create DNG camera profiles for Adobe RAW converters, I'm using ArgyllCMS in case I need to create such profiles.
