McDonald River, Montana, USA
« on: November 09, 2012, 08:13:49 pm »

This river follow much of the Highway to the Sun in Glacier National Park. I shot this quite some time ago with a Nikon D40 and the kit 18-55 lens. I thought perhaps I'd lost this whole set of images when my computer glitched a few years back but rumaging through a box of 1 gb cards, I found much of what I shot there...it reminds me that I must go back there someday and reminds me how far digital cameras have come in 8 years.

The water color is mesmerizing. The camera I used 8 ago was tiny Coolpix 2100 with just 2 megapixels and I'm still enjoying the pictures taken with it. Camera tech is overemphasized too often compared to the actual photo subject.
