Image Size for Copyright Submission
« on: November 05, 2012, 11:29:46 am »

Hi All,

I am in the process of preparing images for copyright registration and am looking for advice on image size/resolution.  As far as I can tell, the eCO does not provide guidelines.  I'd appreciate opinions, links to discussion on the topic, et al.  I'm certain this has been discussed somewhere on the LuLa forum, but I haven't found the right search terms.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Cheers,

P.

This might help:

They recommend 600x600 pixels, or possibly larger if the image has a lot of fine detail. There is other info there on what ASMP considers the best practices for copyright registration.

I have just uploaded my first set to eCO, and for this purpose I had LR4 export all images as jpg with longest dimension = 800px. Many of mine are landscapes with fine detail, so this gives a bit of room for error. However, at this size I have found that the limit for a single .zip file is around 300 or so images (and takes about 15 mins to upload).
