what i didn't see in your post is: are you using the printer's custom profile and set up a custom proof when you are editing your images? if you do. then Photoshop Manages Color is your answer.
after all, the print company has those custom paper profiles to help you get the most out of your editing skills.

Document Profile:Adobe RGB (1998)
Color Handling: Photoshop Manages Color
Printer Profile: Adobe RGB (1998) [**
Is it incorrect to choose this? I just noticed on Windows that you can only select printer profiles and Adobe RGB 1998 and sRGB don't show up in the list**]
The custom paper profile is only installed on the Mac dedicated to ColorBurst.
