PS CS6 crash upon closing program?
« on: October 02, 2012, 09:02:23 pm »

If I open even one file and then close PS, I get Windows Error:

Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working.
-> Check online for a solution and close the program
-> Close the program
 ...
The problem event name is APPCRASH.

Has anyone here experienced and resolved this issue? This is a 100% event for me.

Hi,

Sorry, I can't help with that because I do not experience such behavior. All I can suggest is to make sure that your Graphics card drivers are up-to-date and your card is on the list of suggested ones (if not, deactivate GPU support and see if that makes a difference), and cables to external drives are of decent quality.

Today Adobe released an update to a number of applications, you may want to check if that helps in anyway.

Cheers,
Bart

try this when you open it next

press Ctrl+Alt+Shift while clicking on PS to open, this will give you a window to reset preferences for PS

Henrik

PS: I hope this helps
