I recently started trying to carve and paint shorebird decoys. My current project is a Black Turnstone so these guys have been on my mind lately. Hope you enjoy this one!

While I doubt I'd ever get into photographing birds (and acquiring the necessary long lenses), I do enjoy taking the time to examine them in detail.  Fantastic shot.

I'd like to see this compared to your carving. I love woodwork, but never got into carving anything.
