Silverfast & Saving Settings
« on: September 24, 2012, 05:22:07 pm »

I am a little confused about the differences between using the "Save Settings" disc icon in the "Scan Dimensions" panel versus the "Save Frame Settings" via the Frame icon.
Thanks for any help.

Many of the dialogs in SilverFast include that "Save Settings" icon which allows you to save the settings for the image you are working on. The Frame icon gives you additional options for saving the settings pertaining to a frame that may include a group of images (a "Frameset").

Mark,
Thanks for the clarification.  I find your Silverfast book very helpful.

You are welcome and glad you are finding the book useful. I provide quite an extensive discussion of Frames and Framesets mainly in chapter 1 pages 27 to 35, and more again between pages 108 to 114. If you think there is anything in those discussions I have overlooked or not explained sufficiently, please do let me know.
