A detail I left out: The magnification ratio  set on the lens was approximately  1:1.57~1:1.58x

lovely image and lovely spider

Thank you. As long as I don't get West Nile Virus it was worth the mosquito bites and general discomfort.

Just out of curiosity, why did you purchase the D600 although you already own a D800 or D800E?

Do you intend to use it as back up?

Cheers,
Bernard

Bernard,

I am currently evaluating and reviewing the D600. I am an editor for a photography trade publication and write for a couple of others so the camera is on loan. Along with being a full time working commercial and advertising photographer (most of my work is B2B oriented , not consumer ads) I review cameras and lenses, lighting and other related hardware and products with a specific bias in mind: As a working professional would  trust this instrument enough to use it regularly for my business?

For the record most of the cameras I own are Canon products (1D Mark III, Mark IV, 1Ds Mark III & 1D X bodies) but I do not let that bias me.

Thanks, I was not suspecting any bias. I had mistakenly assumed you had bought one and was only just wondering how you intended to position it relative to the D800. Clear now.

Cheers,
Bernard
