Man on the beach
« on: September 08, 2012, 12:01:13 pm »

It was probably the hottest day in Ireland when I shot this. The beach was crowded with people any direction you looked at. When I spotted this man lying down oblivious of everything around him, looking at the near emptiness on the right, could not resist pressing the shutter down.

Two versions here, the original shoot on color, after some cropping and detail removal ( I liked the look ), and the B&W conversion. Which one do you find more appealing? I kind of prefer the B&W.

I find the color version too high key for my taste; and of course, I really like black and white.

I would go with the B/W version. The saturation of the color image is over the top for my taste.

To my eye, the over saturated colours remind me of squinting hard on a really bright day. I vote for the colours.

But I like colours.
