Disposing of Incredible collection Nikon lenses
« on: September 02, 2012, 09:12:04 pm »

A friend died and his wife has asked me to dispose of his Nikon and lenses. I do not have time to do ebay, ship individually, etc. I was hoping for suggestions of possible places to place on consignment. This represents about $20,000 worth of lenses new. Every lens is pristine, as the guy was a very compulsive physician. Appreciate suggestions. Here is the list.

Since we don't know what part of the world you are in, it is hard to give advice. Maybe check a local used/new camera store and see if they will take on consignment. Otherwise, places like KEH or B&H or Adorama, but don't expect more than 50% at best.  If you want to get a feel, just fill out the KEH "buy my equipment " and see what the automated system gives you. You can also look at the prices they ask for selling used. Fred Miranda . com is another resource.  Otherwise, find an ebay seller that will work with you for a cut.
Good luck.

Adorama would be another shop to consider...they buy outright too

Laurie Excell - has a service through her site Equipment Lady.  She can do all of the ebay stuff for you -- you'll likely get more for the equipment this way than "wholesale" to KEH etc.

Are you willing to part out your lenses?  I am interested in the TC 20III?  Please e-maile me with price.  I am in California.
