#3 is a real grabber, though I do like them all, it strikes a nice resonate chord in me.

3 is my choice as well. The shadows cast from the bridge really make that photo.

5,8,9 are the other stand-outs. nice work.

One of the most powerfully rewarding aspects of suffering the abundance of dross posted on forums is to stumble across the skill and vision evident in this marvellous selection.

Thank you for making my week.

Hey LizardKing,

I neglected to say 'Welcome'.  I apologise.

May I ask your process with these images?  Did you print the negs and then scan them or dod you scan the negs themselves?

Cheers,

Walter

Oh, thank you all for your feedback!
All that pictures are scan from negative film...
I have some pictures printed optically but now it is much more easier for me to print digitally from scan...

Great images - my pick is number 7, but they are all really good.

I toyed with the idea of having my old 5d converted to IR a while back and seeing your images now makes me wish I had done so. But after a quick look on-line, I don't think anyone is still converting the original 5d's any more.

Thanks for posting.

It's a quite strange coincidence - just now I'm drinking single malt Talisker from the Isle of Skye... -)
Thank you! -)

Yes the distillery is about 30 minutes or so from us, we went there for a tour earlier in the year and found out they sell whisky at various prices and vintages, right through to a 40 year old single malt at £1,000 a bottle (yikes). Excellent tasting whisky though, but needs a drop of water to fully bring out the taste and this is how they serve it for tasting, so must be the right way.

In fact believe it or not, we bought some of their old barrels cut in half to use as flower tubs in the front of the house, and the smell from inside was amazing, just sticking my head in the barrel and breathing deeply, Mmmmm what a hit  ::)

My favorite is #9. While I wasn't wild about a couple of them, I never would have thought these were IR photos. Very nice work.

Hi Lizard, I've barely had time to check in with LuLa for the past two weeks. I had a complete computer crash on my main machine and it's taken Dell two weeks to come up with a solution. I now have three computers in my studio, two of which are new and two of which (not one of the new ones) have to go back to Dell this coming week.

In any case, I finally got time to take a serious look at your IR work, and I must say I'm impressed. Normally I look at an IR picture and wonder what it would look like as a photograph, but this time the answer jumps out at me. I especially love #2, 9, and 10. I'm taken with #2 because of the stark contrast from a couple stray beams of sunlight that make the castle jump out at me. The birds and the reflections in #9 are wonderful, and the atmospheric perspective produced by the subtle tone changes in #10 draw me into the picture.

Welcome to the forum, and Bravo! Fine work.

#3 is indeed excellent but 7 and 9 are my favourites of a very strong set. My only concern with 9 is that the vignette at the bottom is a little strong.

Well done, Lizard, and welcome.

Eh?

Yes, I can agree about vignetting, thank you!
