Thanks
Time to move on but I still view my monitor as a WYSIWYG for printing and while greater detail is welcome how much else do I need? I bought an Eizo monitor non LED fours years ago and it gives me enough detail and colour contrast for print proofing. I avoided the LED monitors at the time as great wow colour and jet blacks were not what I needed and I would have to dumb it down.
It is also relaxing on my eyes.
For the Macbook pro it's more about tethered shooting and in the field editing, post production. I can see a logic for greater screen resolution to edit raw images but still lean to the ordinary? MacBookPro with the option of hi rez, anti glare screens. LED makes more sense here as I believe they use less power
