+1 what framah said.
Use the paper you are most familiar with and that best shows your work. Then use the best materials to frame, mat and glaze it.
That being said I do something very different when I show.
I print on my favorite photo paper and mount to some "substrate du jour" depending on my current fiscal condition and laminate with a velvet (textured) laminate.
Currently I'm using a 10mil polycarbonate.
Most is printed full bleed and framed with no mat or glazing.
Except for the substrate I may have chosen the the art is virtually bulletproof and looks lovely.
