color match - LR4 & CS5
« on: July 29, 2012, 08:18:43 am »

hi,

i am using i1Display  to calibrate my 30" apple cinema display.

i named my profile and using it as default.

my problem is that when i export files from LR to PS the images color is not the same.

in LR preferences i use :

Tiff, srgb (which is one of only 3 options i've got there), 16 bit with no compression.

any ideas?

I believe that you have to set ProPhoto as the color space in Photoshop as that is what LR uses.

First you need to understand how to set your Photoshop Color Settings! See: http://digitaldog.net/files/Photoshop_Color_Settings.mov

Next you have to decide how you want to handle images exported out of LR (either using Edit in Photoshop or Export dialog), set that, then when you follow how to correctly setup your Color Settings in Photoshop to preserve the embedded profiles, you’re set.

None of this has anything to do with your display profile (you don’t set that in any of the above areas).
