Sony RX100 vs Sony Alpha 900 and Alpha 77SLT
« on: July 24, 2012, 04:58:47 pm »

Hi,

Screen dump below is shot with Alpha 900, Alpha 77SLT and a RX100. The DSLR images were taken using the SAL 24-70/ZA at f/8 while RX100 was used at f/4. Note that RX100 is camera JPEG and the other two developed in Lightroom. The images are shown at actual pixels.

The order is A900, A77SLT, RX100.

My observation may be that the RX100 is a bit oversharpened and the DSLRs actually have better detail, but the RX100 is not bad at all.

Best regards
Erik

I'm loving mine ... I started to do some D700 and RX100 comparisons ... and then decided to just go out and play.

It's a real pocket-rocket!

The Sony software for RAW conversion is miserable ... LR support cannot come fast enough.
