abandoned houses/barns in northeastern North Carolina
« on: July 24, 2012, 10:00:29 am »

I am doing a series on "Abandoned" here in North Carolina, where hopefully no neighbors live nearby. Trying to get a sense of "yesteryear" and the people who lived there. It is a bit dicey going inside, have a lookout on the road with a cell, have to be careful not to fall tru rotten boards, stairs falling apart, people (not the owners or tenants) inside, owners or sheriff showing up or house collapsing on me. Have tried asking nearby neighbors/owners for permission, and have got a solid "no" with treats if they see me going in there or around there. I have got a small collection, not real happy with them, and would like to find more. Seems the ones that i have accessed, have been already cleaned out with no remnants of previous or current itinerants.
Appreciate any locations or knowledge of places just vacated.
Regards,
Millard
