Can't get rid off greyish tone in Canon 1Ds Mark II images
« on: July 12, 2012, 03:01:23 pm »

I've been using this camera for some years now, but still can't be satisfied with the tones I get when I'm developing the images.
I've tried different programs like Capture One, Aperture and Lightroom.
Lightroom gives me the best results, but I can't get the images balanced in tones to my taste.
Since I've tried everything and read every blog or book there is about developing I don't think I lack developing skills.

Does anyone recognize this problem with Canon files?

To further my research I'm looking for raw files from other cameras to test.
Could you please help me get those? It would be much appreciated!
Because this camera is driving me crazy!!  ???

Thank you!

Can you post a sample image so we can see what your problem is? That will make it easier for us to help.

Try Digital Photo Pro which comes with the camera.
I have always found it to be best in terms of colors and sharpness.

You can download raw files from all types of camers from dpreview and a number of other review sites.

Agree with Eric and Ellis, post some samples because I for one don't really know what you mean by "greyish tones"
