What kind of camera is this?

What kind of camera is this? It appears large-format with large screen, yet compact.

Nope. It's an iPad with a Smart Cover being used as a shade.

For three one-thousanths of a second it had me.  Then I realized: no one in the still camera industry does anything innovative, and then the answer became obvious :(

That pic reminds us that the screen-to-sensor area ratio in an iPad is something like 1000:1.

In my old DB, it's more like 1:1 - in fact I'd have to measure it to be sure, but I fear it may be less than 1:1 ! :o
