New max storage temp for Epson x900
« on: July 07, 2012, 09:13:50 pm »

Just noticed Epson has revised the user manual for the x900. One of the changes I noticed was a new max temp for storing (and therefore shipping?) the printer: 40C / 104F.

So, don't ship this printer during summer?

Shipping from the factory isn't the same as storing it once it's been run up (i.e. once there's ink in the lines).

Good point. The new max storage temp is now the same as the max temp for the ink cartridge. It seems the ink, either in the cartridge or in the lines doesn't like hot weather. But how long is too long for the ink to stay above 40C? It's way above that in many fedex / UPS delivery truck in a good part of world right now.
(It's probably just fine but I'm just curious that's all)
