LR4 -- Lights Out Border is Gone -- Problem
« on: July 05, 2012, 10:07:10 pm »

In prior versions of Lightroom, when you enter "lights out" mode, you see a black screen with your image in the center and a thin white border around your image.

In LR4, the white border is gone.  I suppose this would be nice if all my images were in color and didn't have any edges that are pure black.  However, since I work in B&W and many of my images fade to black at the edges, I can't use lights out mode in LR4 because I can't tell where my image ends and the black background begins.  Yes, you can change the color of lights out mode to gray or even white, but that pretty much kills the purpose of lights out mode.

I confirmed with Adobe tech support that they think this is a feature, rather than a bug.

Anyone other than me driven crazy by this?  Any suggestions for a work-around?

Thanks.

Unless someone has a plugin - I doubt it at this point in time - then the only option is changing the tone of the background as you are already aware of.
