The lens is originally owned by me, practically new, and only in my possession since I've bought it bundled with the Ikon camera. The 2.0/35 Biogon is more my focal length so it was hardly used.

Danny, sorry but i don't get it .. what do you mean with 'optimized to'? I am not aware of two different Zeiss C Sonnar T* 1.5 / 50 mm ZM Silver.

OK. I bought the lens brand new and never had it readjusted by zeiss so i think it's factory setting is still f2.8.
