Macro crop day Lilly
« on: June 25, 2012, 01:15:02 pm »

Playing around in the flower beds today with my Nex 7.
Presently do not own a macro lens so I have the Canon 500D on the 70-200 2.8 attached to the Nex 7 via the novaflex adapter.

Try reversing the image to a left right read and see the difference in the visual impact.

Hi Dan ... I use a very similar setup all the time.  Nikon D700 with a Canon 500D plus Nikon 70-200 2.8 ... sometimes with the 1.4xTC.

I find it more than adequate for my infrequent macro work.

It can be a bit hard to get sharp images without a tripod, but here's a snap from the other day without the TC:

Nice job Jeremy.
That dof can really get razor thin at times.

What a fine flower portrait- technically and in every other way,
To reveal beauty unseen or overlooked is something photography can do so well.
