HC lens shutter size
« on: June 25, 2012, 05:37:49 am »

I heard HC lens have 2 type shutter (diameter 20mm and 28mm).
100mm, 150mm, 50-110mm has same size 28mm shutter.

What is HC 35mm lens shutter size? 20 or 28???

Thanks,
JK

¿Do you remember when you could buy a Hasselblad shutter in an extension tube?

Do you have any plans to make your shutters available in standard compatible large format housings?

The Sinar eShutter might be good, but it is expensive and has a slow maximum shutter speed... the market is yours for the taking.

Dick.
My plan is using old mamiya 645(pro, super) shutter like sinar M with p3.
High speed sync doesn't needs for my use.
Old M645 body is not only a cheap body, but also easy to find.
I have already 3 bodies for my plan.

I'm thinking to M645 body with canon EF mounts with electric contacts.  :)
The path of least resistance is using mirror up because of focal plange.
However, it has disadvantage, only use for newer canon TS lenses. (My goal is always very light, compact wideangle camera with some extendibility.)

2nd plan, I'm thinking to design using mirror,  of course, It needs some mirror shaving...

Nowadays, I'm very busy for my job, commercial shot.
I will continue design my custom cam when I have some times off.

Thx,
JK

Paul,

Can you tell us more about the differences of these 2 shutters?

Hi Dick,

This may predate me and my time with the company. The Zeiss shutters could and were repaired by Hasselblad service center, our authorized service centers around the country. If an individual component broke, as an example a shutter blade, that part could be replaced.

There are no plans that i am aware of to incorporate the Hasselblad HC shutters in a LF housing.

Fan,

The primary difference and other then size 20mm vs. 28mm is the 20mm has two capacitors and the 28mm has 4 capacitors and inductors.
