silly effect when updating metadata
« on: June 24, 2012, 11:52:01 am »

Hello,

I'm in 'g'rid mode of the library module and updating my metadata in Lr 4.1. I highlight the first image, see the corresponding metadata and change anything ( e.g. the title of the picture). I end this by pressing enter and highlight the next image, but the metadata stays on the former image. Also the number if the image is the former one. Tis can be solved by clicking on another image and then going back to the image I want to update.

I'm using Lr 4.1 for windwos, 64Bit running on Windows Vista 64.

Am I doing any wrong or is tis really a bug or feature ?

I'm using the same OS and LR environment as you and do not see the same fault. It's not clear what the fault may be, perhaps you have all images selected?

Hello Alan,

no, there is only one image selected - as I can see the name of the image ontop of the metadata section.

Just tried to duplicate using LR 4.1 Windows 7 64 works fine.
Does the file name change when you highlight the next image?
How about the image in Navigator?
Would help if you posted exact sequence of steps you use.

That's exactly the problem - the highlighted image changes, but the metadata including the shown name in the metadata section stays the same.
