Epson R3000 firmware version help
« on: June 09, 2012, 07:52:26 pm »

Does anyone know if Firmware version 20.20.AS27B4 is newer than 20.20.AS20B5.  The Epson Firmware Updater reports it as "Old Version" on the printer.  Yet when I select it I get "The printer has the following firmware. * This firmware is newer than the firmware file. Do you want to overwrite it?"

Thanks for you help

The AS27B4 is the latest firmware. I just installed it on my R3000 and it eliminated the printer initializing before every print job like it was doing before. At the end of the firmware install, the printer will turn itself off. You must wait for this to happen but then you should unplug the printer and wait about a minute, then plug it back in and all should be well.

Thanks for the reply.

I was wondering about that long initialization before every print job.
