ICELAND > PHOTOGRAPHIC ROADTRIP
« on: June 08, 2012, 04:06:23 am »

Hi everyone,

I am a french photographer / designer.

I wrote a "photojournal" of my first roadtrip in Iceland that i guess would be very usefull for those planning a similar trip:

http://www.international-photographer.com/en/_roadtrips/iceland_2009/iceland_days_index.htm

(Click on a day to read the full story)

I wrote it in french, but because so many english speaking people were asking, it is, now translated in english.

You will also find some tools i design (guide, and a brand new map for photographers) that might help the travellers / photographers you probably are reading this.

I am excited to say that I go back in Iceland in 2 days for a full month, to make a new exploration... and improve my tools.

For those who like LARGE size pics (1600 pix), you can take a look at this gallery i made out of my first trip in Iceland:

Dear Eleanor,

I guess you mention the photo Gallery.

No "big guns". All of these were taken with 5D markII + 17-40mm. The long exposures with 50D + 10-22mm.

Thank you Eleanor, you are very kind.

I go back to Iceland tomorrow morning with a D800 for one month.

I hope to come back with great news images!

I'm thinking of doing a one monther there too. Trouble is it's something I could only do in November/December and the country pretty much freezes over there.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't come back after the last November trip I did there when I almost skidded down a cliff, not before heading backwards towards a fuel tanker with 15 cars behind it.
