Wallpaper adhesive and matte paper
« on: June 06, 2012, 01:05:50 pm »

Kind of an odd question here, but maybe someone will have some thoughts.

I have a customer who would like to "hang" a number of prints using a wallpaper adhesive to affix the prints directly to the wall. She has described it this way: "I plan to use a Heavy Duty Clear pre-mixed paste with a clay based dilution rolled on the wall and dried prior to hanging,"

I realize this is an unusual way to display prints, but I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how well this might work, or whether there might be serious issues with this approach (besides displaying unframed prints exposed to the "elements"). I'm wondering specifically if the wallpaper adhesive might adversely affect the prints. In case it matters, the prints are on Moab Entrada Natural.

I appreciate any advice you might have!

Maybe try:  http://www.itsupplies.com/DuraGraphix-Wallpaper

I'd otherwise be hesitant to try wall paper paste on other fine art papers....
