Color Checker Passport not working properly.

Sent my first image from Lightroom through the CC Passport plug in. Never got the box that lets you name the profile.
It created a profile but just named it profile.
Tried it a second time and got the message "THe following file already exists" and its path.
Went to the plug in manager and the note read "Installed but may not work"
Reloaded the software. It reset the plugin but as soon as I try to export an image I get the message. "The following file already exists."
Did a search as far back as 2011 and found nothing on the subject.

The error log reads "This plug in ,AOS post processing did not finish successfully" if that helps.

Is there a newer version of the Passport software available from the X-Rite site?

Strange the desktop version works and the plug in does not.
The desktop version was 1.0.2 and the plug in showed 1.0.1.
Did a downloaded and reboot and still the same problem.

Making a little more progress. Found out that this all works only when the images are converted to DNG first.
Is it then suggested that on import we "Copy as DNG?" On several tutorials I watched they were exporting raws not DNG's

I have about a half dozen profiles I want to delete from this learning process. The pop up asks if I want to delete the image or remove it from the disc.
I do not want to do either. I just want to delete the profile.

Getting closer to figuring this out.
The Lightroom/CC Passport program does work with raw images. So they do not have to be converted to DNG first.
In the stand alone program it says to drag and drop a DNG image. Now I need to see if the stand alone will accept a raw.
Found how to delete profiles.
Followed the path Users/User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe Camera Raw/Camera Profiles
Does anyone know how to delete the profiles straight from Lightroom?

There is no way that I know of to delete camera profiles in LR.
Just a head's up, the Library is hidden in Apple Lion.  If you upgrade to Lion, you can access the Library by opening Finder > hold the Option key and select Go > Library.
IN LR I always use RAW.

I get a sense that there is a fundamental misunderstanding somewhere.
Tell us what you think CC "should be doing for you" - that might help.

Are you shooting the target for a given lighting setup & then exporting to CC to create the DNG profile for you?  (From within LR?) if so once that is done you must restart LR before you'll see that profile in the list.

OR

If you are shooting two targets (daylight & tungsten) in order to create a dual illuminant profile?  If so, that can only be done using the CC program and not from within LR.

Give us more info on what you're attempting...

And use the profile manager program to delete unwanted profiles.

I've always done my camera profiles with ColorChecker Passport outside of Lightroom. I use Lightroom to convert my RAW file to a DNG, but use the ColorChecker software to actually create the profile and have had absolutely no problems. Have you tried to do this? It entails shutting down Lightroom after the profile is created and restarting, but I've never had a hiccup.
