Stop Lightroom opening

Whenever I plug any sort of external device with files (not just image files) on it into my PC, Lightroom (3) starts up automatically which is extremely annoying, especially if I'm trying to view new files in Bridge, which is what I usually do. Is there any way to stop this?

Nigel I am absoloutely sure that there is facility to modify this in preferences.

So Edit, Preferences, general panel, import options, deselect show import dialog when a memory card is detected.
