I'm at a loss as to how to access the print settings menu from Lightroom, its all crossed out.
Is it a matter of removing the drivers and reinstalling the latest or what?
very frustrated, I attended Michael Reichmanns printing workshop last week and now I am back printing from CS5
Anyone know the solution?
I own and Epson 3800 and my OS is 10.6.8
Intel Mac
Ive not been able to print from Lightroom at all
Thanx

Epson 3800 is quite an "old" model by now. Definitely up-date the driver to the latest for Mac Snow Leopard from the Epson website if you have not done so already and see whether that helps. Also update the LFP panel etc. All of it.

Sorry, all you need is this from their website:

Printer Driver v8.64
Mac OS X (v10.7 - v10.7.x), Mac OS X (v10.6), Mac OS X (v10.5.8)
epson14374.dmg - 34.4MB - posted on 10/10/11

This file contains the Epson Stylus Pro 3800 Printer Driver v8.64.

Note: Common Updater is not required with this driver.

When you get options that are "crossed out" it means the Apple CUPS drivers have taken over ... these are intended for consumer printers and don't access all the of the higher end options.  These utilize the CUPS printing system and can be very problematic.  Never allow the Apple built in software update mechanism to install Epson drivers.

To clear it up is also sometimes not easy.  You may wish to do a  search for gimp-print uninstaller to try and get rid of the apple drivers, then use the Epson uninstall utility to clean out the old Epson stuff, wipe the printing system on the mac clean, then start with a fresh install of Epson driver.  Here's an article I've referred to others on how to try and clean out the printing systems on their macs.

I recently fought an issue where after clearing everything up and getting my printers to operate correctly again a couple of days later I found they were suddenly back to Apple drivers.  I would clean it all up, re-install and a few days later they would revert again.  Rather than trouble shooting it I was installing a new SSD as a boot drive anyway, so I started with a fresh install of Lion to make sure there were no CUPS drivers on the startup disk.  Things working great now, I'm not sure what caused the problem (although I'm guessing some permission issues where settings weren't being stored correctly or a some corrupt preference files).
