Don't know if this is the proper place to ask...but since it has to do with LR I'll start here. Question has to do with converting NEF files to DNG in LR. With the D700 the size of the original NEF files was usually a bit above 20mb. When converted in LR to DNG they are in the vacinity of 18 mb. But with the D800, the original NEF files are a bit over 70 mb, while the LR converted DNG file is generally a bit less than 40mb. The DNG file from the D800 seems is very much less than I expected...am I losing critical image information? By the way, everything is set to save/convert with no compression. Is this about what others are getting or am I making an error somewhere???
