One of the better and a bit less ubiquitous rendering of the scene. You got a nice side lighting and a lovely yellow patch, and you avoided the famous tripod holes further down the path.

If anything, perhaps cropping it on the left side to, say 8x10 ratio, would balance the composition.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  This particular morning didn't look to promising for a while, very cloudy on the eastern horizon.  Fortunately it opened up enough, and early enough to get some good warm light on part of the scene.  I would have loved to have a little light on the mountains as well, but you take what you can get and make the best of it :)

Never give up too soon, especially in the mountains. Weather/sky/clouds can change very quickly and sometimes for the better!
