I like #2, but I find the fence a distraction. #! looks like you have a dirty sensor in the upper left area. I think there isn't enough range of tones in #1 for it to be effective.

I'm on the fence regarding the fence  ;D  I liked the way the flowers covered everything regardless of any artificial separation.
I have however a couple of alternative takes for both shots.

PS. the one with the "spots" on the sensor it's taken with a Canon S100, so I definitely hope it's not the case  ;) Probably it's only snow flakes as it was windy and snow was coming down quite fast.

Now that I see the fenceless version, I prefer the fence. I also prefer #1 in color; I've found with my own work that not everything translates well to black and white  ;)
