You got a fresh rendering of a familiar scene. Quite nice.

The central patch of white surf seems to grab my attention and not let go - I do glance at the flowers but mostly I seem to puzzle over why that patch of surf is so much brighter than everything else.

I agree.  It is the main point of the image, but in addition to the fog there seems to be quite a hefty amount of vignetting going on.  Turning that down a bit might improve the image.
