life size cutouts
« on: April 23, 2012, 11:25:15 am »

Hey all,
I've got a fabulous client who wants a few photos turned into life size cutouts for a party so people can have their photo taken with the cutouts. they don't have to be archival. I can print the photos on the 8300 but I'm wondering what will be the least brain damaging way to make something portable, durable for a party and not super expensive on the front end so we can do a bunch...ideas?

Print on adhesive-backed vinyl engineered for aqueous inks and roll it out on gatorboard, which is a bit stiffer than foamcore. If you have a laminator or access to one, that would make mounting it to board MUCH easier. Then cut by hand using a utility knife. Not the best method for a lot of production but for a couple of pieces you should be able to cut them out manually. ;D
