I've an exhibition coming up that includes a 14 metre long (by 110cm high)
print of Leicester city centre at dusk (23GB file 166,000 pixels long).
I'm printing it on a Canon iPF8300
(which is a saga in itself, but I'll leave that until the print is on the wall - suffice to say I have one copy now successfully printed and rolled up)Obviously part of the physical impact of it is just its sheer size on the wall, but how to show the image on the web?
I'd like to include it on the exhibition info page at my site, but screens and web pages aren't really that good for 13:1 aspect ratio... I can get a pic of me standing next to it, but I'd like to be able to show how much sheer detail there is in that many pixels...
Has anyone used the Zoomify feature, that's built into Photoshop?
I'd look to get the non-Flash version of Zoomify if I was going to use it, but I was wondering if anyone had experience of using it, or any other online pano viewing tool? (preferably one that does not require much coding ;-)
BTW - If anyone in the UK wants to see the exhibition, I've more info at:
http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/exhibitions/leicester_angle.htmlWhen the rush is over (it opens 2nd May) I'll be doing a much longer article about all the 'making of' issues
