A nice classical landscape. Classical composition of the thirds, nice lightning, cold/warm colors, foreground/middle ground/background, its all there. There is even a hint of Camille Corot in it. All in all, well done.

Not cliché? ;-)

Perhaps... but there are cliches and then there are cliches ;)

Some cliches are like comfort food, i.e., nothing original or terribly complex, most likely highly damaging for your arteries, but, boy, do they provide "consolation or a feeling of well-being... associated with childhood or home cooking."

So, to make things clear and comprehensible, the judgements classical / cliché are just a disguised Like / Don't Like.

Perhaps in your binary world (i.e., 0/1, yes/no, black/white).

But I prefer a continuum between classical and cliche, and at least a 16-bit one.

More to come as I get the printing into gear.

You could simply remove the image from the first posting and then add your re-worked image to that first posting. (You could remove the first posting. Digital is so mutable, so ephemeral.)...

Yes you are right.
For me I am still coming to grips with tools of the forum trade - so to speak.
I will know better next time.

That's a great tree. Almost expect a leopard to come bounding down from it, but not in Australia...

So, to make things clear and comprehensible, the judgements on the continuum classical / cliché just disguise judgements on the continuum Like / Don't Like.
That rather depends on whether or not you like clichés, doesn't it?

Nothing like a good old classical landscape shot.
Gives peace of mind.
Nice one!
