Why not vim or youtube - they both have various 'privacy'/ embedd options
It seems that many even big companies find YT or Vim the best nowadays
What about just a QT file sitting on the server embedded in a page.. or show one at maybe 480 and offer a download option for 1080
I like downloading and watching later .. maybe that just me

I think when you send dailies or first edits out to a client, you need some form of proprietary protection. Not many client's, large or small, want their video and branding out in the wild west with everyone viewing it until they are ready to launch and today we see utoob and vimeeeeo as a easy way to send out info but they're are better ways, just more costsly and make you run your own server and have your webmaster on speed dial.
A lot of us, client's included see utoob and vimeeeeo as a secondary thought, but as the numbers suggest, an interesting video out in the world weird web can get a lot more play than paid for broadcast, flashing in-store displays and cable teeeveee.
Showing your latest work is also a ying yang type of thing. You want the world and potential clients to see it, you just don't want some client that has more reach than you and your client copying it faster than you can get it out, because then it looks like the idea was theirs's not your's and your client's.
That's always been a tough decision.
