Epson built-in color management engine

Despite of its incompatibility with ICC v4 specification, does anyone know how Epson built-in-driver color engine performs compared to Adobe and Windows Vista/Seven engines?

What built in engine? A CMM? By the time the driver gets color managed data, it is, well color managed.
