Eizo FDH3601 --- DELICIOUS :)
« on: April 08, 2012, 07:22:17 am »

http://www.photographyblog.com/news/eizo_to_showcase_fdh3601_4k_monitor_at_nab/

Delicious? : FDH3601 has full 4K x 2K (4096 x 2160) native resolution across its 36.4-inch screen

Any clue on how to make work with a MacBookPro or any Mac?

Plus of course... guess of price...

Nice. That's going to be expensive. My guess: 3 arms, 2.7 legs.

Fips,

With the cost you outlined, you won't have any limbs to operate your computer to really appreciate the display anyway! :)

I've been very happy with my Eizo ColorEdge CE240W which I have owned for almost 5 years. I just wish that it was a tad wider as I don't have room for 2 displays in my home kitchen desk space where I do my photo editing with my MacPro 8-core.

Cheers.

In such case NEC PA271W or EIZO SX2762/CG275W is the way to go.

Offering 100% sRGB coverage...

Amazing! <G>

If they made one like this that had 100% ProPhoto coverage, then I may add it to my wishlist. Otherwise I am happy with my current HP LP2475w 24-inch monitor.

I doubt that will ever be possible considering two primaries in ProPhoto fall outside human vision. But larger than Adobe RGB could be useful some day.

You may be right about that. But hey, we quibble about details concerning IQ that we can't see without a loupe, so why not have a monitor that displays colors we can't even see?  ;D
