Front page design...
« on: March 24, 2012, 11:25:52 pm »

Depending on the size of the photo on the front page, the "What's New" (with the latest date) doesn't always make it on to the screen without scrolling down. Is there any chance things can be rearranged slightly so that it is possible to know if there is something new without scrolling?

You could bookmark the What's New page.

You could bookmark the What's New page.

Cheers,

That's what I do, but the downside is that you don't see the front-page photo.

Personally, I'd suggest Michael put the photo at the top of the What's New page as well as the front page, so that visiting a single page lets one see both.

Another option is to look for "What's New" only when Michael's image changes, since new images are usually presented concomitant with new articles.

Thanks,
Dale

What is wrong with scrolling? It's a fundamental part of using the web. I don't even think about it?

Maybe it is a bit more work if your mouse does not have a scroll wheel?
